10 Day Namibia Private Helicopter Journey

A bespoke desert, coast and Damaraland journey built around a privately chartered helicopter. Stay longer at distinctive lodges while a specialist operator plans every flight, landing and fuel requirement.

Your journey

This is a specialist charter enquiry product, designed for clients who want a different perspective on Namibia and understand that a helicopter safari is a complete aviation mission, not a sequence of casual scenic-flight tickets. The proposed ten-day pattern uses a Windhoek arrival night, three nights at a desert wilderness lodge, two at a Swakopmund hotel, two at a Damaraland lodge and a final Windhoek buffer. the helicopter operator is the proposed aviation contact because its published scope includes private charters and regional bases. The operator must approve the aircraft, passenger and luggage loads, fuel plan, legal landing sites, routing and weather alternatives before the package becomes a firm offer. A lodge's nearby airstrip does not automatically give Zumi permission to land there, and this outline promises no remote protected-area landings or low-level wildlife flying. Ground-guided dunes, coast and Damaraland experiences remain an essential part of the trip. Each aircraft sector, lodge plan and optional private activity is individually costed, with a clear disruption policy and responsibility for any additional nights.

Morning

A permitted flight into Damaraland

Fly inland to the landing site accepted by the aviation operator and Chiwani for your particular aircraft. A published nearby airstrip does not itself establish permission for every helicopter operation. The mission plan specifies fuel, payload, airspace and the ground transfer to a Damaraland lodge before any deposit is treated as a fixed charter commitment.

Afternoon

Settle among the boulders

Arrive at a Damaraland lodge and enjoy the boulder landscape and views across the Aba Huab area. Your exact bungalow or suite and meal/activity plan are confirmed by Chiwani. A short heritage outing may be possible, but the base plan does not make it dependent on a perfectly on-time flight.

Morning

A guided nature drive

Twyfelfontein or an unhurried lodge afternoon

Choose the booked Twyfelfontein heritage excursion if timing and energy suit, or leave the afternoon for the lodge. Complete the approved return mission

A final city evening

OvernightNo overnight included
MealsMeals as specified in the final quote; lunches and drinks are extra unless stated.
Morning

A buffered international departure

Transfer to Hosea Kutako Airport after the final city night. The charter mission has ended the previous day, so the base plan avoids a tight same-day helicopter-to-airline connection. The airport transfer time and baggage arrangements are confirmed against the actual international flight.

Onward journey

Continue with a new regional sector if desired

Add another lodge, a Victoria Falls extension or a more conventional fixed-wing safari only after checking the new operator's schedule and luggage rules. Every change to a multi-day helicopter mission can affect positioning, fuel and permits, so revised flights require a revised written charter proposal.

Frequently asked questions

Is every helicopter sector already approved?

No. This is a private charter itinerary concept. The operator must complete flight, fuel, payload, airfield and landing planning before any sectors are confirmed.

Can we choose remote landings?

Only where the operator and relevant landowner or authority permit them. Scenic wishes do not establish landing rights, and weather can change the daily plan.

What baggage can we bring?

The operator sets the allowance from aircraft payload, passenger weights and the mission. Supply accurate information and request the current written bag and weight limits before packing.

Are the named properties and services confirmed?

They are proposed selections for your journey. Availability, exact room or camping category, activities and meal basis are confirmed in your written quotation before booking.
